LONG VERSION:

I am originally from Munich, Germany, where I started riding at the age of 5.

I learnt the basics of riding at the "Universitäts Reitschule München" and then was lucky enough to find an amazing Bavarian Warmblood with whom I grew with and we were very successful in Showjumping (up to 135cm) and Dressage (up to Medium Advanced). I also had the pleasure to own a Hanoverian (Donnerhall/Rohdiamant) who taught me that not all horses are an immediate fit. But maintaining the right mindset and continuous practise we became a great team, doing mostly Dressage.

Over the decades I achieved several German accreditations: "Reiterpass, kleines Hufeisen, grosses Hufeiesen, Bronzenes Reitabzeichen and Silbernes Reitabzeichen", which are equivalent to the BHS3 Complete horsemanship with some some elements of BHS4 for Complete horsemanship.

I did not pursue a professional equestrian career but became a veterinary surgeon which was the other area close to my heart.

I graduated in 2008 from the University of Leipzig and had the opportunity to work with a very renowned equine vet (looking after all the German top class International competition horses), Dr. Rüdiger Brems, Pferdeklinik Wolfesing.

I nevertheless decided to work as a small animal vet, as this was less straining on my back and also, thinking about the future, more family friendly.

I worked in small animal clinics and practises in Germany and the UK.

I moved to the UK in 2011 and after I had my first daughter in 2016 I decided to focus on looking after my family, especially after my second daughter was born in 2019.

That was when I picked up my regular riding again.

I became a member of the London Riding Club where I participated in amazing riding events (I was able to ride The King's Troops horses!).

Soon after I went back to being a horse owner and I realised that this is still my greatest passion.

When my daughter started showing interest in riding I realised how much I loved teaching her.

I also taught my husband to ride who had never ridden before.

That was the time I decided that I would not return to the veterinary field but to follow the joy of teaching.

I have acquired experience of coaching over the last three years not only with my family but also adults, teenagers and younger children.

Recently I have moved to the beautiful countryside close to Alfold, Surrey and have my horses and yard by the house, including a 20x40 rubber/sand arena and direct access to the byway.

Having had a rather technical German education in the equestrian sport, my main focus lies on the seat, as this to me is the foundation of the right way to communicate with your horse or pony.

Once the correct seat has been established, the horse can understand you easily, everything else will fall into place and can be improved with little effort.

Another cause close to my heart is to show the magic of the relationship between this majestic animal and the human being - it's the most special partnership where two different species can communicate to each other and become one unit.

The wonder of riding to me is having this connection with a very special friend (even if it's not your own, he/she can still be a really good friend) - no matter if you love dressage, jumping, cross country, endurance or just hacking and enjoying the countryside.

In 2020 I came across the TRT method when looking for help with a newly bought horse which showed behavioural issues.

Since then I have studied and completed the courses and have been using this amazing technique working with all my horses and helping "problem" horses to become more confident and happy in themselves.

Tristan has changed the way I communicate with horses and I thoroughly enjoy this part of my work.
